day in FuShun and lots of paperwork

Yesterday we drove to FuShun City to apply for Levi's passport. What was supposed to be a 1 hour drive each way was actually 2 1/2 hours each way. It was a long, exhausting day, and we were so tired when we got back, emotionally spent and drained.

We did have the opportunity to spend the day with one of the directors, Mr. Dai (standing by me in the picture). though we didn't get the chance to visit the orphanage, I did have the opportunity to ask the director more questions about Levi's finding spot and the routine in the orphanage. We also had lunch at a local restaurant in Levi's home city with lots of dumplings, fried corn dish with sugar, green beans, and duck.

The director told us that our son was one of the most handsome at FuShun City Orphanage. He also told us that he can be very stubborn (and yes, he can be) but he will go along with the others (meaning be compliant). He told us that he was found by children, who were going to school, at the nursery next door to the orphanage, with no note, wrapped in a rug. His name Hang means navigator and was named by the orphanage. Mr. dai gave us his email so that we could send updates of AoHang.

What a change in his life! From a rug to your arms. I am so happy for all of you, I'm bursting. We really need to plan a trip to Nashville soon to see your family. Maybe Spring? We love you, Court!

What an amazing story that little boy has. Going from being abandoned to a family full of amazing people who will cherish him to the fullest. He is so lucky to be placed into your hearts and family. Can't wait to meet him!!
