We've decided to pursue the China Child Of Promise minor special needs program through Holt for our second adoption. Though the term "special needs" can sound daunting, I bet you know a handful of your own friends who were born with or have a child born with a with a minor "special need"...like a port wine birthmark? Clubfoot? Heart murmur? Hernia?

Do your research. Find out the best hospitals for the special needs you are considering...some may not be close to where you live and may take some planning to get in to. Our daughters SN was best treated at a hospital 8 hours from where we live...and we live near Duke, UNC and Wake Forest Medical.
